The Score Attains Platinum Membership as NCPG Praises Pennsylvania Lottery
The National Council on Problem Gambling has announced that the Pennsylvania Lottery has achieved the Internet Compliance Assessment Program certification for its iLottery platform, as Score Digital Sports joins the organisation as a platinum member.
The Pennsylvania Lottery, whose iLottery platform is developed and managed by Scientific Games, achieves a standard that is only held by a small sample of US lotteries. iCAP is the first and only US-based online responsible gambling assessment program for lotteries.
Drew Svitko, Pennsylvania Lottery executive director, says that the lottery’s shared commitment with US tech provider, to offer entertaining online products in a socially responsible way, helps maintain responsible gambling strategies that work.
“By working with Scientific Games, the lottery team and responsible gambling experts in the industry, we were able to take a deeper dive into our iLottery program’s responsible gambling initiative and ensure we are doing the right thing,” explained Svitko.
“This certification is testimony of our commitment to ensure that we are providing iLottery players with responsible gaming tools they need to manage their play responsibly.”
Furthermore, theScore Bet has also aligned with the NCPG as its strives to reaffirm its commitment to responsible gaming as it expands its operations across North America.
The company’s platinum membership with the NCPG enables it to play an increased role in supporting the organisation in its goal of increasing public awareness of gambling addiction, ensuring the widespread availability of treatment for people experiencing gambling disorders and their families, and encouraging research and programs for prevention of gambling problems.
“We’re excited that theScore Bet has joined NCPG, as they bring extensive experience around engaging with millions of sports fans on mobile devices across their media and gaming platforms,” said Keith Whyte, executive director of NCPG.
“Their broad reach and commitment to responsible gaming will be a tremendous asset to NCPG as we continue to raise awareness around problem gambling and the resources available to support those impacted.”
